Jake, you are a very good book reviewer. I have enjoyed all your reviews and the perspective you bring. I remember the '87 crash, I wasn't in the market, so I didn't panic. I was able to calmly advise friends to hang tight and it will all come back. I wish I were as calm and insightful about the currant real estate collapse. The new administration is a bit of a wildcard, leaving me with feelings of uncertainty about the future that none of us can predict, but as an optomist I've got my money on American ingenuity.

Jake - Great review. I like reviews like this that free me from having to read every interesting title that comes out. Gaining enough distance to see this economic moment, not as THE beginning or THE end, but rather ONE OF MANY middles is excellent food for thought.
